St. Peter's United Church of Christ

This program is for students in Kindergarten thorugh 5th grade.  Cherub and Bells I is set up for lower elementary;  Jubilee and Bell Canto is for upper elementary. In some cases siblings are placed in the same choir if their skills meet the requirements necessary.  

The rehearsal schedule is as follows:  Weekly - Wednesdays from 3:40 to 5 p.m.

This is a specially designed flexible schedule for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade with the rehearsals back to back.  It is desirable that children be at the entire 3:40 - 5 p.m. time so that the program is a perfect fit for the children participating.  Children are expected to be on time.
3:40 p.m. - Gathering (All children) - in the Senior Choir Room.  Includes welcome, worship, hymns for children and prayer.
3:50 p.m. - Vocal warm up, choral instruction, music activities, drum circles
4:20 p.m. - Treats followed by all children moving to new area for instruction
4:25 p.m. - Younger elementary and beginners - Chimes I.  Meets in the Children's or Senior Choir Room.
4:25 p.m. - Older elementary and those with more advanced ringing skills - Bell Canto.  Meets in the Bell Room.
5:00 p.m. - Dismissal.  Parents may pick up their children at the north entrance doors.


This year for the first time, a special singing opportunity is being offered to above average singers in grades 4 thorugh 7 who wish to be part of an ensemble that serves in worship occasionally.  This group will be expected to read music and sing in parts.  The group will determine time of rehearsal and the name.  For information contact Jean Moser.


For the children who have completed training in Bell Canto, and any 5th - 7th graders who are interested in ringing.  Rehearsal times are flexible and not necessarily on a weekly basis.  Students are welcome to join at any point in the year.  For more information contact Jean Moser.

Throughout the year, especially on Faith Circuit Celebration Sundays, you may join your Cherub and Jubilee singers for the special music. They can share the music with you and then we will all rehearse with the Sr. Choir plus the new group for grades 4, 5, 6, and 7.  There are families who would love to do something together. What better way to be together, than to sing in joy and celebration?
