About the Church Council

The Church Council of St. Peter’s is made up of eighteen members. The Board of Deacons, the Board of Elders, and the Board of Trustees each have six members on the Council.

Council members are elected to a three-year term and may be re-elected to no more than one successive additional term. After one year off the Council, members may again serve on a Board.

Council members are slated by the Nominating Committee prior to the annual meeting held in January. Additional nominations may be made from the floor at the annual meeting, but the member must consent to the nomination.
