Confirmation at St. Peter's

Confirmation
Confirmation is a year-long study where a young person explores faith more deeply, and decides at the end of the study whether to take the vows of baptism as his or her own, thereby becoming a member of the Church.

We use the Affirming Faith cirriculum published by the United Church of Christ, and meet from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sundays.  Because worship is part of a mature faith, attendance at Sunday worship (9:30 to 10:30 a.m.) is expected as well.

Mentors help guide the process, offering support along the way.  We also include field trips and fun activities to deepen the lessons.

We kicked off the 2010-2011 year with an informational potluck on September 10th.  Our first class began at on Sunday, September 19th.

Confirmation Sunday!
It all came down to this. Our confirmands have become the newest full members of the congregation. They have made their promises, and we will continue to support them on their journey of faith.
