A baby’s birth is the beginning of a child’s faith journey. We offer a safe and loving place for newborns through four years of age (pre-kindergarten) during the entirety of the worship service. The Childcare room is located in Room One on the lower level. Childcare begins at 9:20 am and ends at 10:40 am. Our Childcare is staffed by two regular Childcare staff members in addition to volunteers as needed.
During their time in Childcare, the children play, learn Bible based songs, hear Bible based stories, and develop new relationships.
For the safety and security of all children participating in our Children’s Ministries programs, a registration form is required for each child.
If you are a visitor or are new to our Childcare program, please complete a registration form the first time you leave your child in our care.
We require that each child be signed-in by a parent, that the parent leave a cell phone number, and each child be initialed out of our care by a parent.
Children in Pre-kindergarten through Grade 5
Disciple Zone (PreK-5th grade) will continue to receive a weekly Disciple Zone Home Edition video to view when it’s convenient for your family. These videos are lectionary-based and include a Bible reading, quiz time, an activity that can be done at home, and a prayer. They will continue to be sent through email with the Web Worship video. Extra crafts and coloring pages will be given out during the Backpack Blessing on August 23rd. We will also be meeting one Sunday a month virtually through Google Meet from 9:40am-9:55am. Our main focus for this virtual meet is for the children to see each other’s faces, smile and laugh together, and do a fun activity. Our first virtual meet will be Sunday, September 13th at 9:40: Rally Day!
Youth in Grades 6 & 7
Seekers (6th and 7th grades) will be meeting virtually each Sunday from 10-10:40am through the Google Meet platform. Pastor Amanda and Jennifer will lead these meetings and guide the youth through our Re:form Ancestors curriculum focusing on the New Testament. Books will be distributed during the Backpack Blessing on August 23rd. Our first virtual meet will be Sunday, September 13th at 10am: Rally Day!
Opportunities to Serve the Children:
Our Children’s Ministry is only possible with the dedication of our talented leaders, leader assistants and teen assistants each week. We welcome your service at any level: once a month, bi-weekly, or more! Showing our children and youth how to follow in Jesus’ footsteps can be a very fulfilling experience. We hope that you will be called by God to share your time and talents with our youngest worshipers.
