St. Peter’s offers a wide range of activities to engage the children and youth of our congregation!

Childcare

A baby’s birth is the beginning of a child’s faith journey. We offer a safe and loving place for newborns through four years of age (pre-kindergarten) during the entirety of the worship service. The Childcare room is located in Room One on the lower level. Childcare begins at 9:20 a.m. and ends at 10:40 a.m. Our Childcare is staffed by two regular Childcare staff members in addition to volunteers as needed.

During their time in Childcare, the children play, learn Bible based songs, hear Bible based stories, and develop new relationships.

For the safety and security of all children participating in our Children’s Ministries programs, a registration form is required for each child. If you are a visitor or are new to our Childcare program, please complete a registration form the first time you leave your child in our care.

We require that each child be signed in and out by a parent/guardian. This person will also provide a cell phone in case we need to contact you during the worship service.

Disciple Zone:

Children in PreK – 5th Grade

The children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade begin the worship service in the sanctuary with their families. Following the Children’s Message, children are invited to continue their worship experience in Disciple Zone under the leadership of our gifted and dedicated volunteers. During that time our children grow together in faith and fellowship using the “Whirl” lectionary-based curriculum. The children are engaged with songs, games, video, and lively discussion based on the same message that the adults have heard in worship. Children must be picked up by a parent/guardian following the worship service. Room assignments are located on the back page of the worship bulletin.

At this time, masks for leaders and youth are optional.

Seekers:

Youth in 6th and 7th Grades

The youth in 6th and 7th grades begin the worship service in the sanctuary with their families. Following the Children’s Message, the youth are invited to continue their worship experience in Seekers under the leadership of our gifted and dedicated volunteers. During that time, the youth think deeper about God and the Bible using the “Re:Form” curriculum through humorous videos, activities, and animated discussion. They also enjoy fellowship with each other through games and a sweet snack! The Seekers meet in the Parlor located on the main level.

At this time, masks for leaders and youth are optional.

Opportunities to Serve the Children

Our Children’s Ministry is only possible with the dedication of our talented leaders, leader assistants and teen assistants each week. We welcome your service at any level: once a month, bi-weekly, or more! Showing our children and youth how to follow in Jesus’ footsteps can be a very fulfilling experience. We hope that you will be called by God to share your time and talents with our youngest worshipers. At this time, we do require that all people who work with our children be vaccinated against Covid-19.
