The Staff and
Members of St. Peter’s Church
Welcome to
you and your family in this hour of need.
As you plan
your funeral or memorial service at St. Peter’s
Church, we embrace you with open arms and wish to offer you comfort,
support and fellowship in this time of change.
In that spirit, St. Peter’s
offers members and their families a variety of services that we hope
will best meet your needs as you grieve and begin to move toward
personal healing.
Ministerial
Services
Members of
St. Peter’s may ask any minister on staff to preside at a funeral or
memorial service. If no special request is made, the
ministerial staff will share leadership responsibilities according to
their availability.
When the
minister visits or contacts you about the service they will ask you
about specifics of the worship experience being planned:
* Is this a
funeral or memorial service?
* Which Bible
verses, hymns, readings, and music will best provide comfort to you
while honoring your loved one and glorifying God?
* What
memories and life experiences will you share that might be used in the
worship service?
* Do you want
family members and friends to participate in the service? How?
* Do you wish
for us to provide a printed worship bulletin for the service?
Church
Facilities
Through gifts
to the Open Arms Fund, St. Peter’s members are able to offer the
following services at no expense:
* Use of the
Sanctuary, Parlor, and Parish Hall for funeral and memorial services.
* A light
meal or dessert buffet, with beverages, for your family and friends in
the Parish Hall immediately after your service, or upon return from the
cemetery. Please inform the presiding minister as to your family's
wishes and the estimated number of attendees.
* Help with
special needs
