Timeline:
1924
Present church building built. Organ paid for by Ladies Aid
Society. Moeller pipe organ cost $25,000.
1971
Work started on rebuild. Took 9 years!
1976
Organ recital in honor of America's Bicentennial and St. Peter's
Centennial. Organ now worth $200,000!
1977
Started work on organ again. Hired Len Berghaus as builder
and
Kurt Schmitt as consultant. Cost: $80,000 for rebuild work.
1980
Organ finished! Rededication
service. Organ now valued at $331,314.
1989
New custom built console installed. $40,000.
1989
Zimbelstern added.
2008
Organ refurbished and enhanced by Mark Austin of Praestant Associates.
18 new digital rank (16 stops) were added.
The
concole was also updated to
include new coupler controls and new drawknobs.
