W.O.W. - Women of the World WOW is a group of St. Peters women that has evolved over the years out of the basic need for Christian Fellowship and faith development. It is open to all St. Peter's women and their guests. Throughout the year we provide Christian fellowship, mission opportunities and spiritual growth through guest speakers and programs. We meet eight months out of the year at the church with the highlight of the year being the Women's Retreat. Recently we have implemented an e-mail prayer request chain that has enabled us to support each other in times of need. We welcome all women of the church and appreciate the opportunity to share God's love and abundance through fellowship and service. Women's Guild For 115 years the Women’s Guild has had an active part in service and dedication to the work of St. Peter’s and the community. We have contributed to many worthwhile programs and projects. We meet for fellowship, friendship and enriching programs. We feel there is a need for such a group to continue this legacy for years to come. The Women’s Guild now meets four times a year – September, December, March and May. The F.O.R.M sometimes joins us. We try to have interesting programs with a short devotional following. We do have lunch each time – twice as pot luck and twice prepared. The Guild contributes to Back Bay Mission and Church Women United plus filling Christmas boxes for Samaritans Purse as one mission project, also blanket month for U.C.C.’s Church World Service. All women are members of the Guild and the Guild encourages all women of the church to attend these meetings. |
